Gardening - Clay soils. Additives.

Heavy, clay soils tend to drain poorly. Use manure, compost or other organic additives to help loosen the soil. Mix the additives in well.

Sandy soils that drain too quickly, thus loosing nutrients, can also be correcting in the same way as the poorly draining soil, by adding organic additives.
