Gardening - Control Mealy Bug Pest.

The best way to control mealy bug on indoor or outdoor plants is to use a systemic foliage spray on your plants. This type of spray will enter the plant cellular system and be administered to the pest via the pest feeding on the now toxic plant. As mealy bug have a waxy coat most contact pest sprays will not penetrate the waxy coat of the mealy bug and therefore not remove the pest. The best way found to eradicate this pest is to physically control them by squashing the insect on sight, taking care not to damage plants in the process. Pyrethrum spray works well if used routinely, as does garlic and chive tincture.
